fall for us

Every season we find pieces we fall for and just HAVE to add to
our wardrobe. A few years ago, I fell for these faux leather leggings
from Aritzia which they still make by the way! They're super warm
and soft inside and give the average black legging the perfect edge.

One of  my favorite ways to wear them is with a chunky knit sweater.
Recently, I fell for this turtleneck sweater which I can not stop wearing.
It's the perfect fall staple. Aritzia is always a go-to for classic wardrobe
staples. Add in something a little more trendy like this wide brimmed
felt fedora from Madewell and you have a great, easy to put together
fall outfit! What did you fall for this season?

coats galore

It's that time of year again. That time of year when the leaves
start to fall and our bones start to chill. But, don't let the cool
air stop you from looking chic quite yet.

We Wisconsinites all know that once winter really hits, warmth
is put WAY before style. We're not there quite yet. So, take this as
an opportunity to turn the cool weather into a warm, fashionable
new coat hanging in your closet!

I have put together a bunch of my favorite jackets from this season
to get your coat inspiration flowing. Long and cropped, pastel and
shearling are all in this season so GO WILD!

photo diary: greece

(view while walking down to Amoudi Bay in Oia, Santorini)

With about a week left in Israel, Oren and I decided to be
super spontaneous and book a trip to Greece. We figured
we were already half way across the world, we had both
always wanted to go and it was too close to Israel not to do it,
so three days later we were off to Crete.

Although our first hotel was quite disastrous, we definitely made
the most of our time. We rented a car, (named it Willy, don't ask why
because I don't have an answer) looked at a map and started
driving. We spent an entire day picking random places on the map
and navigating our way through the small towns full of crazy Greek
drivers.

We ate a super weird lunch due to errors in translation...
Clarification:"a small fish" does not mean a whole plate of tiny
fish, right? We swam at a handful of beautiful beaches, sweat a lot,
and got really dusty due to dirt roads.

We found places I thought only existed in a dream life. We drove
(off roaded if this were Oren typing) almost 2 hours down a bumpy
dirt road (pictured below) with no idea what we would find at the end.
The choice to continue the terrifying drive around twists and turns, above
drops onto jagged rocks, proved to be the right decision. The end of the
road brought us to secluded beach  (also pictured below) with only six other
people and tons of goats... yes. goats.  We both agreed that it was the most
beautiful place we had ever seen.

For our last two days, we decided to go to Santorini. We arrived at our
teeny hotel right in the cliff in Santorini. From the ground floor you took
an elevator down 3 floors and THEN walked down another 150+ stairs.
The view was unreal and it was so cool to stay right on the side of the cliff.

Greece is such a stunning place. It looks just like in the movies....
But with more goats.

styled by the stylist herself.

The lovely, Elizabeth and I first met in middle school. When we ran
into each other ten years later, we picked up right where we left off.
It's pretty amazing, getting in touch with an old friend and
coincidentally both interning for the same woman, Helen Berkun

SIDE NOTE!!!

Anyways, it was so fun to get the opportunity to work on fantastic
shoots with these ladies  and becoming friends with Liz again AND
finding out that we have loads in common.

jacket t by alexander wang  • t shirt Orens old bulls shirt    jeans mother • scarf louis vuitton • bag chanel • boots chloe

put together an outfit that no one else could think of and
make it look out of this world! She works day and night to
make sure everything is exactly right and a huge plus... She's
blast to work with!

We have been trying to plan a shoot for months but (as I'm sure
you know) life gets busy. FINALLY, we did it and figured what
would be more fun than to have Liz style me straight out of her
own closet!

vest DVF  • blouse equipment    trackers vince • sunglasses carolina lemke • bag proenza schouler • sneakers superga

If you haven't already noticed (which I'm sure you have)
Liz has an unbelievable wardrobe, especially her accessories
collection. It was so fun to play dress up in her closet and
get to spend a few hours with my girl.

She put me in some outstanding outfits and pushed me out of
my black and white comfort zone.  Liz, Oren and I had a blast
at our shoot/reunion (the 3 of us used to eat lunch  together every
Tuesday). Can't wait to shoot more with my chick.

Check out Liz's personal style blog: Big Hair and The Big City
and make sure to give her page a "like"!

If anyone in the Chicago land area is looking for a
clothing stylist for a shoot or event, make sure to reach out to Liz
I promise you won't be disappointed!

photo diary: Israel

Fall is officially here and I have been doing some serious
reminiscing about my summer. I felt it was finally time to share
with you some photos from my summer travels.

In July, Oren and I went to Israel to visit family and friends,
dive and relax on the beach. Eilat is like a super hot heaven
and is a beautiful place to visit. We ate unbelievable food,
spent time with the loveliest people, explored markets and I
finally took my first real dives (I'm hooked)!

I had a summer made of dreams, really. I am sad it's over,
but oh so happy that it happened.

I hope you enjoy some of my favorite images from each trip.
Beginning here with photos by Oren and I from Eilat and Tel Aviv.
