feeling feminine.

Although practically my entire wardrobe is black and grey
and a bit towards the edgy side, I do like to dress a bit girly
here and there... a bit, kind of... barely. I loved the way this
top fit when I found it at BOP, but it had those goofy off the
shoulder sleeves. They made me look like I had wings.
Although I'd love to fly, it was just too weird. But there
must be a solution to every problem, right? I cut the sleeves
off and WA-LA!  A fun, girly, easy to wear tube top.

Looks like we're in for a treat with some warm weather
the end of this week, so pull out your favorite girly tops and
soak up the warm sun while it's still here!

so nautical!

There's really nothing better than being barefoot and on the water on those gorgeous
summer days. I love the nautical trend, it's one that just seems to come back year after
year. So this summer... keep the nautical trend, trending! Throw on some stripes,
kick off your shoes and enjoy the water!

Sayulita Photo Diary

Mexico's small surf town of Sayulita is absolutely charming. An expansive beach of sparkling gold sand, perfect rolling waves, hot sun and friendly locals make for quite the combination. Walk the streets and you will find countless local artisans, taco stands and churros made right in front of you.

It was a wonderful getaway to leave Chicago for a week with nothing to worry about but surfing, laying in the sun, walking on the beach, eating guacamole and drinking piƱa coladas. It felt amazing not to put on makeup each morning and only have to take a bikini out of the drawer. It was wonderful to spend the week with family and friends and also to celebrate my beautiful momma's birthday in the warmth! Sayulita was the perfect vacation spot, definitely a place you would want to visit.
